Feenix Polish: Twigs

There are a ton of fall and Halloween collections making their way onto the indie and mainstream markets right now, which is great for buyers because it gives you a lot of options. With so many options, however, it can become difficult to pick which you're going to spend your hard earned money on. This week, I will be showcasing three polishes from a really great fall collection from Feenix Polishes.

First up is Twigs. I love Twigs because it's something different from what many indie sellers create.
This is described as being a sheer olive drab polish in its shop description on Etsy that can be worn alone or with a glitter topcoat. It has micro glitter flecks throughout that add a lot of dimension to the polish.
I used two coats of Twigs for the photos below with one coat of Poshe fast dry topcoat.

The formula on this was great and I had no application issues to speak of. I love this kind of color! This is a polish that might be overlooked in a shop because it's not a complete glitter bomb, but I like that it's a little understated.  A little murky, a little mysterious, great on its own and great with something added to it (stay tuned tomorrow for a review of Feenix Polish Cammie layered over Twigs and another color)!

Feenix Polish can be purchased on Etsy and you can keep up to date with Feenix Polish on their Facebook page and blog. Make sure you show some love!

Note: The products contained in this post were sent to me for my honest review.

Cult Nails & CrowsToes

It's Cult Nails Manipulative, a gorgeous muted teal/robins egg blue with a hint of shimmer, as you can see in the shadowy photo to the right. I purchased this in a recent Cult Nails sale.

And I love this:
I have been LEMMING Absolum very hard and for a very long time. I was finally able to purchase it recently and so excited when it arrived in the mail a couple days ago.

So I decided to combine two loves to create something beautiful. Click "Read more" for swatches!

Tough As Nails Lacquer Updates

(1) I've updated my blog sale with newly reduced pricing! Check it out: BLOG SALE!

(2) I've added two new colors to the line!

Not a Plain Jane: Available on Etsy.
Not A Plain Jane is a topcoat lacquer, containing hex glitters in varying shades of white and pink, along with a few white hearts. Not A Plain Jane is named for one of my favorite people. She is sophisticated, feminine, completely fun, and known to sprinkle fairy dust in the lives of those she loves.
Over Julep Penelope:
Over OPI Fly (teal) and Butter London Snog (pink):

 43 Quintillion: Available on Etsy.
43 Quintillion is a topcoat lacquer. It contains hex glitters all of the colors you might find on a certain cube-shaped game from the 1980s, which happens to have forty-three quintillion combinations. 43 Quintillions is the life of the party -- she's a little bit wild, a little bit mixed up, and is always working to see how high she can get her bangs and how crimped she can get her hair.
Over China Glaze Happy Go Lucky:

 Over China Glaze Manhunt:
 Over Confetti Lonesome Dove:
In honor of the new additions, there is an EXCLUSIVE BONUS FOR FACEBOOK FANS of the Tough As Nails Lacquer Facebook page: take 10% off of your order with the code FBFAN10 at checkout.

Candeo Colors: Orchid

Candeo Colors is a relatively new-to-me brand, mostly because the shop normally sold out too quickly for me to get anything. But I was recently able to acquire a few of them, Orchid being one. Orchid has a beautiful magenta jelly base with holo glitters disbursed throughout.

I opted to use Orchid as a layering polish over a shimmery magenta, China Glaze Ahoy!

Shimmer Polish: Tracy

One of my favorite nudies is China Glaze Fast Track, which came out of China Glaze's Hunger Games collection.
Usually I wear this one on its own, but I've been looking for something to layer over it for a while. And I found that something when I received Shimmer Polish Tracy.
Tracy is described as being a "tarnished gold holo glitter polish" and I think "tarnished gold" is the perfect way to describe this beauty.
Here is one coat of Tracy over Fast Track:

HARE Polish: Supernova Springs

Today I have HARE Polish Supernova Springs. At first glance, I thought that this was a green glitter in a black jelly.

But on closer inspection, Supernova Springs appears to be a very dark purple jelly with green glitter:
So to pair with Supernova Springs, I opted for one of my favorite vampy colors, OPI Lincoln Park At Midnight, a beautiful creme that is essential to any lacquer collection.
Lincoln Park at Midnight + Supernova Springs = Awesomeness.
Love this combo! Click "Read more" for additional swatches and information on where to purchase Supernova Springs!

How I Feel When . . .

. . . it's 2:30 AM and I've been swatching polishes for the last three hours:
