Lush Lacquer: Slime Time

Another late night post. This time with Lush Lacquer's Slime Time. Lush Lacquer is a new-to-me mother/daughter team who develop polishes. I took advantage of their great "pick any three mini bottles of polish" deal so that I could get a good sampling of their polishes. I chose Slime Time and two others that I will swatch at a later point in time.

Slime Time is a neon-green base jelly glitter bomb with large white and gold squares, turquoise, blue, and gold hexes. Such a fun polish.

And here is one coat of Slime Time over one coat of Sinful Colors' Innocent:
Shots of Innocent so you can see the base color. It's very close to the jelly base that houses Slime Time and worked really well with the polish.

All photos were taken in natural lighting without flash.
I really love the color combination in Slime Time. However, as you can see in the photos below, the gold squares are beginning to warp. And I used an extra thick coat of Seche Vite top coat to tame them. Check out my thumb and middle finger to see what I'm referring to. It was a bummer to find curling glitters, especially because I think Lush Lacquers are made to order. I can handle them now and am no stranger to needing an extra topcoat or two, but I'm nervous as to how this will perform in the future.

A beautiful looking polish. I really hope that this one holds up over time ad will provide an update in a couple of weeks regarding the potentially curling glitter.

If you are interested in purchasing Slime Time or any other of Lush Lacquer's polishes, check out their Etsy shop. And for updates, head over to Facebook!
