New Lacquers!

Over the past few months I've been toiling away, making new polishes and the following six are the results. I'm very happy with them and hope that you are, too! They can all be purchased in my Etsy shop.

Remember that 10% of all sales during the month of November are going straight to Soldiers' Angels, a nonprofit ". . . with the mission to provide aid and comfort to the men adn women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and their familiars and to enable [their] volunteers to improve the lives of a growing veteran population."

My brother was killed in action on 6 November 2010 and so the military is very near and dear to my heart. The donation is going to be made in his memory.

MOE MONEY

Photos show two coats of Moe Money with one coat of Poshe topcoat.

Moe Money is a gorgeous green lacquer with golden shimmer throughout. Moe Money is really all about the Benjamins and is best described as a hustler. Did you recently notice that your watch is missing after a chance encounter with Moe Money on the street? Odds are, that watch is now in a pawn shop and Moe Money is adding some crisp bills to the wallet.

This is actually my latest favorite that I've made. It's not overly complicated but still has a little pizzazz to it. This is also not a glitter bomb! There is gold shimmer in the polish, but nothing excessive. So if you're looking for a change of pace, go with Moe Money.

BLUE TUESDAY
Photos show two coats of Blue Tuesday with one coat of Poshe topcoat. The bottom row, middle photo shows one coat of Blue Tuesday over one coat of OPI Roadhouse Blues.

Blue Tuesday is a limited edition deep blue lacquer with navy and teal glitter throughout in hexes and squares. It does contain holographic glitter. The larger navy hexes do have a reflective curl, but Blue Tuesday lays flat on the nail. If reflective glitter bugs you, then Blue Tuesday isn't the polish for you.

Very little is known about Blue Tuesday. A Blue Tuesday refers to an actual event without disclosing any actual information of that event. It may or may not occur on a Tuesday, and it may or may not involve the color blue. Only a few know of the existence of a Blue Tuesday and may or may not know anything else about it. Maybe.

I only made 30 bottles of this and didn't write down a recipe, so if you like it, buy it!

SHOCK & AWE
Photos show one coat of Shock & Awe over OPI Here Today Aragon Tomorrow (top left) and The Great Butter Rebellion. Poshe topcoat finished everything off. Photos don't do this one justice.

Shock & Awe is a topcoat that is holographic overload. It contains gold and silver holographic glitter in a variety of shapes and sizes -- hexes, slivers, bars, diamonds, stars, and squares.

Shock & Awe is a military doctrine based on using overwhelming power, dominant battlefield awareness, dominant maneuvers, and spectacular displays of force to paralyze the adversary's perception of the battlefield and destroy its will to fight. Shock & Awe was heavily utilized during the United States' 2003 invasion of Iraq.

 FLASHBANG
Photos show one coat of Flashbang over OPI Skull & Glossbones (the gray) and OPI Here Today Aragon Tomorrow, with a coat of Poshe topcoat. This polish is a million times better in person than what I can convey with teh camera. It's soft but still a little edgy and, in my humble opinion, the perfect winter topcoat.

Flashbang is a topcoat that includes white hexes, squares, and shards in a variety of sizes, along with micro silver, holographic, and rainbow glitters.

Flashbangs are explosive devices that produce a blinding flash of light and loud noise, momentarily activating all light-sensitive cells in the eyes and causing temporary hearing loss. They're used to temporarily disorient the enemy's senses so you can get the jump on him or get the hell outta there.

 BLITZKRIEG BLUE
Photos show one coat of Blitzkrieg Blue over one coat of Zoya Song (top row and bottom left) and also Blitzkrieg Blue on its own with three coats (bottom right). Poshe topcoat finishes off both looks.

I love blue so of course I had to make my own!

Blitzkrieg Blue is a versatile shimmering jelly lacquer with silver and blue glitters of various sizes throughout. It does contain short bar glitters and holographic glitter.

Blitzkrieg is German for "lightning war" and is noted for being utilized by the Germans during World War II. A Blitzkrieg is a series of quick and decisive short battles to deliver a knockout blow to the enemy before it can recover and counterstrike. It involves a coordinated effort by tanks, mobilized infantry, artillery and aircraft, to overwhelm the enemy and break lines, having a strong psychological effect on the enemy.

OBLIGATORY XMAS POLISH
Photos show one coat of Obligatory Xmas Polish over two coats OPI Jade is the New Black. Poshe topcoat finishes the manicure.

There are many Christmas polishes out there. But this one is mine. A take on decorated Christmas trees.

Obligatory Xmas Polish is a limited edition shimmering green lacquer that contains various sizes and shades of green glitter, with "ornaments" of red, yellow, blue, purple, orange, pink, and white.

Obligatory Xmas Polish hates to be dragged to family holiday parties but somehow finds herself wear an ugly Christmas sweater, standing in the corner with a glass of eggnog in her hand, stuck in a conversation with creepy Uncle Fred. She can be found attempting to hide in the basement with her flask, spoiling gifts before they can be unwrapped by the kids, and drunk dialing her ex, who just so happened to break up with her two weeks before Christmas. Bastard.

Thanks for checking out my new lacquers!
