Windestine: Spica

Windestine is another Etsy find. As is typical of indie polish lines, the Windestine shop opens and closes due to the amount of time that shop owners devote to creating the lacquers.  But I was able to snag a couple of lacquers on a recent shop opening.

Up first is Spica -- a blue jelly with various sized hex glitters, some holos, and crescent glitters.  It's yet another example of my deep love for blue polishes.  I just can't stop buying them!

For all swatches, I used two coats of Spica with one coat of Seche Vite top coat to finish things off.

This color of blue is perfection.  I would actually love it on its own without any glitter added, but if there's an opportunity for glitter I'm not one to pass it up.

Application was easy.  Not too much glitter that I had to worry about clumping.  My only complaint is that all of the crescent glitters stuck to the side of the bottle and, try as I might, I just could not get one out of the bottle.  Next time!

The first two photos were taken in my "light box" with no camera flash.  Check out that shine!  Such a brilliant blue.

And here is a shot outdoors, natural light, no flash.  It looks brighter/darker depending on what light source you're in.  As you can see, it's a little darker outside.

If you're interested in purchasing this or any other of Windestine's amazing lacquers, visit her Etsy page. Or check out her Facebook page for updates!  I can't wait until shop opens up again!
