Windestine: Spica

Windestine is another Etsy find. As is typical of indie polish lines, the Windestine shop opens and closes due to the amount of time that shop owners devote to creating the lacquers.  But I was able to snag a couple of lacquers on a recent shop opening.

Up first is Spica -- a blue jelly with various sized hex glitters, some holos, and crescent glitters.  It's yet another example of my deep love for blue polishes.  I just can't stop buying them!

For all swatches, I used two coats of Spica with one coat of Seche Vite top coat to finish things off.

Amy's Nail Boutique: Pink Lemonade

Amy and I are both members of a Facebook group so I was privileged enough to see her polishes before they hit her Etsy shop.

As soon as she opened Amy's Nail Boutique I hopped over there as fast as possible to pick up a couple of shades.

One that I had been eyeing is Pink Lemonade, which has fine pink and yellow matte hex glitters in a clear base. LOVE. I guess this could be called Floam's pretty little sister if I had to make a comparison, but check it out for yourself:

Pahlish: Train Underwater

I was so excited to swatch Pahlish's Train Underwater.  I love deep blue sparkly polishes and this one was no exception.

As you can see, the polish has a lot of dimension:

All That Glitters: Rebel Rebel

All That Glitters is one of my favorite indie polish lines.  Not only are the polishes great (smooth, even application, no need to shake the bottles forever, and even glitter distribution) but the polish names are amazing.   Anyone who names polishes after some of my favorite Bowie songs is alright in my book!

Here is Rebel Rebel -- a purple/white/silver glittery lacquer set in a sheer purple base.

Bam Nail Lacquer: Andromeda

Bam Nail Lacquer's Andromeda is up for swatching tonight!  Check out this great purple holographic glitter:

Here are three coats of Andromeda with one coat of Gelous topcoat.  I love it!  I like that the purple jelly base isn't so saturated that you can't see all the different holo silver and purple glitters.

Pretty & Polished: Candy Coated

Here is a real beauty from Pretty & Polished!  It's called Candy Coated and we are sort of in love with each other right now.

Check out all of that glittery goodness in a pink jelly!  Blue, pink, and purple hexes (some holos) with smaller purple glitters as well.  Love it!

Bam Nail Lacquer: Venusian Sunrise

I was so excited to receive my first purchase from Alicia at Bam Nail Lacquer last week and had a chance to swatch the polishes this weekend.

First up is Venusian Sunrise, a very sparkly and romantic pink jelly.

There are very fine bits of micro holo-glitter and subtle pink and purple hexagon glitters floating in romantic pink base.

All That Glitters: Valentine Massacre

As the name implies, All That Glitters' Kirsten creates, well, really glittery lacquers.

I picked up three the other day and the first one I tried was Valentine Massacre, a brilliant red and black glitter lacquer.

I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous: Hidden Potential

Amy's I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous line of lacquers has really taken off.  She has thousands of followers on her Facebook page and lots of polish sales on Etsy.

Like many other indie polish lines that have caught on, when Amy stocks her Etsy store, it sells out in minutes.

While I had a cart filled with five polishes, I sadly only ended up with one.  But the one I managed to get my hands on was a real gem -- Hidden Potential.  It's subtle in all the right ways but still very interesting.

Lots of small pink and blue bits of glitter and the "hidden potential" -- larger white matte hexagons.

Fixation Polish: Lime Crush

I have a special place in my heart for anything related to the colors lime and chartreuse.  So when I spied Fixation Polish's Lime Crush, I knew I needed it in my collection.

Look at all of those glitters! Black bars, chartreuse hexagons, turquoise squares, small pink hexagons, oh my!

Dollish Polish: I'm a Material Girl

I was lucky enough to have my first indie polish purchase be from Dollish Polish.  Dolly creates unique, highly desired polishes and sells out very quickly when she does open shop.

One of the beauties I scored was "I'm a Material Girl" -- a collection of black, pink, and white matte hexagon glitters of varying sizes suspended in a clear base.
