Blue Mondays with Kawaii Nail Lacquer: Blueberry and Zoya: Song

I'm just going to dive right into this manicure because I love it so much to waste time typing about it before sharing. This is Kawaii Nail Lacquer Blueberry over Zoya Song.

Zoya Song is from the 2012 NYFW Diva collection, made for New York Fashion Week. It's a shimmery, deep blue.

This is two coats of Song, no topcoat. It's so reflective and almost glows, which isn't something you normally see in a cool color like blue.
And here is Kawaii Nail Lacquer Blueberry, a sheer blue jelly with different-hued blue hexes disbursed throughout.
The finished look has two coats of Song, one coat of Blueberry, and one coat of Seche Vite topcoat. And it's amazing.
I LOVE Blueberry. It's blue, so it would be kind of difficult for me to not love it, but it's very squishy, paired excellently with Song, and has a nice variety of blue-colored hexes in it.

Zoya polishes can be purchased here. And if you use this link and create an account, you get a FREE bottle of Zoya polish.

Kawaii Nail Lacquer can be purchased on Etsy. And make sure to like the Kawaii Nail Lacquer Facebook page so that you are current on updates and new releases!

Note: Blueberry was provided to me for my honest review.

Blue Mondays with Shimmer Polish Liana

So I hadn't ever won anything. Like a contest or the lotto or really even gambling. I'm just not lucky that way. But recently, I was the unexpected and very happy winner of a Shimmer Polish raffle! For winning, I got to select two polishes of my choice for a penny. One of my picks was, of course, a beautiful blue glitter bomb, Liana. All of Shimmer Polish's lacquers are named after women and I think it gives them character.

To start off my manicure, I opted for one of my favorite blues -- Maybelline Color Show Sapphire Siren. This is a total steal and I bought mine at Meijer (a midwest superstore) but I've seen this line at a bunch of different places. I think this was $2.99. No more than $3.99. It's a gorgeous blue creme with the best consistency. Here is Sapphire Siren:

And here is Shimmer Polish Liana:

And here is only ONE coat of Liana over Sapphire Siren. Can you believe the coverage?!?

Blue Mondays with Absolut Lacquer Maybe I'm Crazy

So truth be told, Absolut Lacquer Maybe I'm Crazy isn't a blue lacquer. But it looked so beautiful over a blue lacquer that I decided to include it in today's Blue Monday anyways.

Maybe I'm Crazy is a glitter bomb topcoat with pretty much a little bit of everything: hexes, bars, squares, in every color under the sun.
 Ahh, glitter:
And here are two coats of Maybe I'm Crazy over China Glaze Manhunt. Isn't this a fun combination? I really like featuring this glitter bomb over blue instead of the usual white, black, or gray.

Blue Mondays with Model City Polish: Birds of a Feather

Another Blue Monday! Today, I have another blue beauty for you. It's Model City Polish Birds of a Feather. Birds of a Feather is a blue-based, shimmery lacquer with blue holo hexes disbursed throughout.

Model City Polish is a fairly new independent line of polishes that can currently be found on Etsy. The creator, Nina, is so charming and friendly. We exchanged messages before I received some of her lacquers and I felt like we could chat about anything afterward, just to give you an idea of the customer service you can expect from her.
Bottle macro:
And here are three coats of Birds of a Feather, no undies:
So blue. So shimmery. So filled with holos.

Blue Mondays with Dollish Polish: 3 Best Friends That Anyone Could Have

Since it's Monday and I love 80s music and play-on-words, I'm going to shoot for doing "Blue Mondays" every Monday, featuring blue polishes.

And to start Blue Mondays, I have Dollish Polish's 3 Best Fridays That Anyone Could Have:
3 Best Friends is comprised of sky blue and silver hexes, silver holo bars, and tiny silver holos. It is an amazing topcoat.

Here are two macro bottle shots in slightly different lights:

And here she is on the nails! 3 Best Friends is loaded with so much glitter that this is only one coat of it on top of my base colors (more info on that after the jump). Don't you love it?

I wanted to do a little something different with my manicure. I'm not quite at the point where I feel comfortable doing any kind of nail art, but I thought I would change things up a little bit by using two colors. I chose China Glaze Flyin' High and Confetti Lonesome Dove:

I used two coats of Flyin' High and Lonesome Dove, respectively, adding one coat of 3 Best Friends and one coat of Seche Vite to top it off. All photos were taken in natural light without flash.

Application was great and 3 Best Friends was loaded with a lot of glitter, as evidenced by only needing one coat of it.

Dollish Polishes are available here.  You can also check out Dolly's Facebook page or Twitter to stay up to date on restocks, new polishes, and other news.
