Cult Nails & CrowsToes

It's Cult Nails Manipulative, a gorgeous muted teal/robins egg blue with a hint of shimmer, as you can see in the shadowy photo to the right. I purchased this in a recent Cult Nails sale.

And I love this:
I have been LEMMING Absolum very hard and for a very long time. I was finally able to purchase it recently and so excited when it arrived in the mail a couple days ago.

So I decided to combine two loves to create something beautiful. Click "Read more" for swatches!

Dollish Polish: Spank You Very Much

It's Friday, b*tches! Let's get wild, let's get crazy, let's get lacquered up with Spank You Very Much! Anything with the word spank in its name is pretty much guaranteed to be amazing. And Dollish Polish Spank You Very Much fits into that. Even though Ace Ventura does nothing but thoroughly annoy me, I'll allow it to pass.

Spank You is a clear based lacquer with purple and pale blue hexes throughout.
Check out that marco:
And here we have Spank You over a jade green creme. Looks pretty great, huh? Not too much, not too little. Just right.
Click "Read more" for additional swatches, information on my base coat, and where to buy Spank You Very Much!
All photos were taken in artificial light, without flash. For my base coat, I used Essie Incognito, a turquoise/jade creme. This is two coats.
Incognito is one of my favorite Essie lacquers and a go-to color when I don't  know what else to wear and don't just want to wear one of the billions (okay, probably a slight exaggeration)  of vampy colors I own.
I really like my finished result. Incognito compliments Spank You Very Much nicely and doesn't overpower it.
Application was great. Nothing too complicated about Spank You but sometimes you need a little simplicity.

Dollish Polishes are available here.  They are also sold at Llarowe and Overall Beauty. You can also check out Dolly's Facebook page or Twitter to stay up to date on restocks, new polishes, and other news.

Rainbow Polish: Havasu

Did/Do you watch Real Housewives of Orange County on Bravo? Remember when Vicki was still married to Don and they would take the kids to Lake Havasu and hi jinx would ensue? No?

Are you feeling like this?
Source: realitytvgifs
ANYWAYS. Rainbow Polish Havasu automatically made me think of Vicki and her lake and Don. And after I went off on a Real Housewives tangent in my head, I actually looked at the polish and though, "Whoa! This is pretty!"

And here is Havasu over Julep Amy:
It's like a beautiful beach and lake crept onto the nails!

Feenix Polish: Waikiki Sunset

Anyone reading from a tropical location? Anyone wish that they were reading from a tropical location? Anyone thinking, who in their right mind would be on a nail blog if they were in a tropical location right now?

Well I don't have the big bucks to go on a tropical vacation this summer or really summer in the foreseeable future, but if you can't have the beach, might as well bring the beach to your nails. And that's exactly what Feenix Polish Waikiki Sunset does.

From Feenix Polish's description of Waikiki Sunset on Etsy

Once upon a time, I was sitting on the beach at Waikiki. The sun was going down. The gorgeous Hawaiian surf was showing all sorts of shades of aqua, and sparks of orange and gold were dancing off the tops of the waves. I shared that moment with someone I loved - and it was truly magical.

I don't know about you, but that makes me want to get on a beach right now. Alas, I'll settle for Waikiki Sunset as my manicure.

This macro shot shows the teal-based, shimmery lacquer with gold holographic hexes disbursed throughout:
And here are two coats of Waikiki Sunset on the nails:

Model City Polish: Puttin' on the Ritz

This weekend is completely flying by for me. So quickly that I completely spaced on posting anything yesterday. But today I have a really fun polish from Model City Polish -- Puttin' on the Ritz!

Puttin' on the Ritz is a fun layering polish comprised of black and silver holographic glitter. I used Puttin' on the Ritz in a gradient fashion and really liked the results. Check it out!

Nail Mail!

Yesterday, one of my cousins got married and I was honored to be a part of the bridal party. This is the type of cousin who is really more like a sister and so I felt like yesterday I gained more of a brother than another cousin. It was a beautiful ceremony, filled with so much love. My family had a blast cutting a rug on the dance floor, eating delicious food, taking lots of photos, having a few adult beverages, and smiling until our faces hurt.

When I arrived home in the wee morning hours, I was delighted to see two packages for me -- Nail Mail! I received packages from two awesome new indie lines: Feenix Polish by the lovely Suzette and Model City Polish by the bubbly Nina. Both of these ladies have been so friendly and professional in our interactions, as an added bonus. :)

Happy Friday everyone! Here is another beauty from 365 Days of Color! Up today is Summer Dream.

Summer Dream is a cool minty teal jelly with brightly colored glitter dispersed throughout.  It really is a great color for a summer manicure! I'd love to be wearing it poolside right now.
