So I hadn't ever won anything. Like a contest or the lotto or really even gambling. I'm just not lucky that way. But recently, I was the unexpected and very happy winner of a Shimmer Polish raffle! For winning, I got to select two polishes of my choice for a penny. One of my picks was, of course, a beautiful blue glitter bomb, Liana. All of Shimmer Polish's lacquers are named after women and I think it gives them character.
To start off my manicure, I opted for one of my favorite blues -- Maybelline Color Show Sapphire Siren. This is a total steal and I bought mine at Meijer (a midwest superstore) but I've seen this line at a bunch of different places. I think this was $2.99. No more than $3.99. It's a gorgeous blue creme with the best consistency. Here is Sapphire Siren:
And here is Shimmer Polish Liana:
And here is only ONE coat of Liana over Sapphire Siren. Can you believe the coverage?!?

Winning my polishes was a great way to be introduced to the Shimmer Polish line. They are on the expensive side of the indie scale (retailing for $12.00 on Etsy, plus $2.00 shipping) but after trying them out I will definitely purchase from Shimmer Polish in the future. The coverage is amazing, the lacquer jam packed with glitter, but not goopy.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! perfect pairing, way to go!
